Neel is my brother, and he's always been a source of strength and kindness in our family.
Two years ago, he lost his wife to cancer, a loss that deeply affected him. A year later, he was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL).
After a brief remission, the leukemia returned.
His best chance at treatment is across the country in California at a specialized hospital called City of Hope. This means leaving home in New Jersey and being away from his support system for an extended period of time—all while fighting for his life.
While we are holding onto hope, the financial reality is overwhelming.
Neel is now facing –
- Housing costs in California
- Ongoing rent back home in New Jersey
- Daily expenses like food, gas, and transportation during treatment
- Increased Health Insurance costs due to long-term disability
Our goal is to raise $38,000, which will go directly toward these essential living expenses so that Neel can focus fully on his treatment and recovery.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support so far—thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and kept Neel in your thoughts.
Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to cover essential expenses leading up to and through his second bone marrow transplant, which took place yesterday. This is a major step in his treatment, and we are hopeful as he begins this next phase of recovery.
As Neel continues healing, the journey is far from over. We are increasing our fundraising goal to help cover the ongoing costs that come with this stage—gas and transportation to and from the hospital, as well as continued living expenses and healthcare expenses while he remains away from home for care.
